Robert Rauschenberg
Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008) is revered as one of the most innovative American Pop artists.
More avant-garde than Warhol and more audacious than Jasper Johns, Rauschenberg worked experimentally with many mediums over the span of six decades, striving to create boundary-pushing, curious, and thought-provoking pieces. Overlay, collage and anarchic juxtaposition of images is a constant element in his practice.Â
Rauschenberg's work is included in public collections around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Fine Art (NYC), Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Spain), and Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), to name a few.
